Live bait

The other night, we went to see our niece and nephew in the opening night of their high school musical, Seussical. It was wonderful. That’s not what this post is about, though. The high school is in a very rural area, so we passed through some podunk towns, some of which probably don’t even have names, to get there. In one of them, we saw a Live Bait vending machine. It was a vending machine just like any other, but instead of dispensing canned or bottled beverages, this one dispensed live fishing bait. It even had fishing-related logos and graphics on the front and sides, and buttons to select from the various types of bait it could dispense.

It’s all about location and demand.

Having grown up in a tiny town in WV, population 1100, I feel ok about using the word "podunk".

I know! I'm kicking myself for not stopping and snapping a quick pic with my phone.

Haha, nice find! In fact, the one we saw was the one on the far right with the fish mural on the front ... sans it's tackle vending companion. I'm sure the matching set is much more impressive and valuable :)
