New old cabinets

I mashed together this quick image to show the kitchen before and after refinishing the cabinets. The new distressed white makes such a huge difference in the whole look of the kitchen. It seems so bright and pleasant now, and no more of that over pronounced oak wood grain that made my vision blurry. Even other things about the kitchen that previously bothered me don’t seem so bad anymore, like the bright brass sink fixtures. The black appliances always looked nice, but now I think they look even better.

With new floors and new cabinets, we feel like we have an entirely new kitchen.
